Values and Rules

The Third Place is built on a simple belief: that genuine human connection is one of the most important things we can cultivate in modern life. Much of modern unhappiness stems from disconnection - from meaningful relationships, from community, from purpose, and from the natural world. The antidote is not found in isolation or consumption, but in reconnection with each other and with what actually matters. Everything here is guided by that understanding.

Our values

  • Connection over performance. This is not a space for networking or self-promotion. It is a space for showing up as a real person.

  • Belonging for everyone. The door is open regardless of age, background, ability, or belief. What matters is a genuine interest in community wellbeing.

  • Holistic wellbeing. We support the whole person — physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. Activities here should nourish, not deplete.

  • Community-led. The best ideas come from the people in this community. We trust that and welcome it.

  • Reconnection with the world. Nature, creativity, movement, stillness, and shared experience are all welcome here.

Our rules

  • Only activities that support holistic wellbeing. Activities must contribute positively to the physical, emotional, social, or spiritual health of participants. Activities that cause harm, exploit, or exclude will not be accepted.

  • No abuse, harassment, or discrimination. Any behaviour that demeans, intimidates, or excludes others — on the basis of identity, appearance, background, or belief — will result in immediate removal.

  • Respect for all people. Treat every person with dignity. Disagreement is fine; disrespect is not.

  • No unsolicited commercial promotion. This space is not a marketplace. Partners are here to support community, not to sell to it.

  • Act in good faith. Put forward ideas and engage with others honestly and generously.

If something feels wrong, use the Contact form to let us know. We take the culture of this community seriously.
